Welcome to

Ortigia Island

Welcome to Ortigia, the beating heart of Syracuse's history and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This small island, with nearly 3,000 years of history, is an open-air museum where the past intertwines with modern life. Strolling through its narrow cobblestone streets, you can admire masterpieces such as the Duomo, built on an ancient Greek temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, the Fonte Aretusa, shrouded in myths and lush nature, and the majestic Castello Maniace overlooking the sea.

Just outside the island, the Archaeological Park of Neapolis awaits you with wonders like the Greek Theater and the Ear of Dionysius, perfect for those who want to delve into the history of Magna Graecia.

Ortigia is not just a place to visit but a place to experience: here, history can be felt in every stone.

Ortigia is not only about history: immerse yourself in local flavors at the fish market or at seaside restaurants where you can savor dishes made with fresh fish and Sicilian specialties such as arancini or pasta alla norma.

For sea and sports enthusiasts, the island offers a wide range of activities: SUP excursions along its crystal-clear coasts, sailing trips to admire Ortigia at sunset, or the romantic Love Boat tour to explore nearby caves.

Sicilian cuisine becomes an experience through hands-on lessons where you can learn to prepare authentic recipes.

For those seeking convenient travel options, transfer services to any destination are available. Ortigia is an experience that will take your breath away!
